The Cryogenic Naming Convention is derived from the LHC Naming Convention. Even for the PS and SPS-complex, the LHC Naming catalogue is used, starting off with the letter Q for cryogenics.
The main document for CRG Naming is the ‘Cryogenic Facilities And Equiment Naming Convention’ (Web) and (Edms)
An auxialiary naming source is CERN Naming convention (Accelerator Naming Portal)
In the CMMS database, a special CRG naming is used for the functional positions at different levels (geographical position, part of a cryogenic infrastructure with a same functionality, a group of equipment all part of one installation). The list of these positions – automatically updated by the CMMS database – Functional positions level 1 to 3 can be found here. Or in an Excel-file ( doc. EDMS ) which is only updated manually. Also classes and categories for functional positions used codes.
The list of these codes can be found here.
